Sabrina Bailey
Chief Executive Officer
As CEO, Sabrina leads the strategic direction and vision of Emotomy. She is also Head of Digital Investment Advice at Northern Trust Asset Management and a member of the Operating Group and the Asset Management Leadership Council.
Prior to joining Northern Trust, she served as the U.S. defined contribution segment leader for Mercer Investments. In her role, she was responsible for building Mercer Investments’ DC business through leadership pf senior consultants across the U.S. and the deployment of innovative solutions, manager research and intellectual capital to consultants, clients and markets. Sabrina has twenty years of experience in the financial services industry and has held a variety of management, investment consulting and manager research positions Towers Watson and RogersCasey.
Sabrina holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management and an MBA in Organizational Leadership from George Fox University.

Sabrina loves outdoor adventures with her family and friends including hiking, cliff jumping, rock climbing, hang gliding and other athletic feats.
She is also passionate about giving back to others through service and is committed to empowering people in need locally, nationally and globally by offering sustainable educational and employment opportunities that allow them to provide for themselves and their families.
Our favorite fun fact about Sabrina is that she’s an identical twin and she and her sister were born in different months!
Patrick B. Beaudan, Ph. D.
Senior Managing Director
Patrick founded Emotomy in 2014, while CEO of Belvedere Advisors, an RIA managing quantitative proprietary strategies for institutions and high net worth individuals. He is a Strategic Advisor for Emotomy, and has 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. Before starting Belvedere Advisors, Patrick was the CEO of Equity Capital Network, a venture capital firm operating in the US and in Europe. Previously, Patrick was a vice president at Lehman Brothers in charge of the firm’s European strategy, product development and corporate mergers and acquisitions. He was also a consultant covering primarily financial institutions and healthcare at McKinsey & Company.
Patrick is the author of several scientific papers, and he has been a lecturer in finance at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales in Paris, France. Patrick holds B.Sc. Summa Cum Laude and an M.S. in Aeronautical Engineering from the State University of New York and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University.

Patrick enjoys scuba diving in tropical waters, masters swimming, running and flying planes. He is also a volunteer pilot for Angel Flight West, a charity focused on providing free life-saving flights across the country to children and adults with critical needs.
Our little known Patrick facts are that he trained as a classical pianist at Ecole Normale in Paris until he came to the U.S. for college. As he likes to say, he is now officially a failed pianist – we don’t believe him. He was also an officer in the French air force. He is not a failed pilot.
Adam Boyer
Head of Business Development
As Head of Business Development, Adam is responsible for defining and executing the sales strategy to accelerate the adoption and utilization of Emotomy by financial institutions. With over two decades of financial services industry experience, Adam has held a number of leadership positions, including his most recent roles at Charles Schwab as Head of Sales for Compliance Solutions and Chief of Staff to the Head of Bank Operations and Technology. Adam also spent many years at Bank of America where he helped build out the bank’s Chicago footprint. Adam has a Bachelor of Science and Master’s degree in Economics from Florida State University.

Adam’s free time is spent with his wife and two young boys – they keep him busy! When can find some time, he enjoys running, biking and strength training.
He is passionate about being the best role model he can be for his boys.
Adam and his wife are active in children’s charities; particularly Friends of Bell, Cradles to Crayons and the Honeycomb project, an organization for families to volunteer together.
When he was in college, Adam had an internship at the US Embassy in London supporting the Commercial Affairs and Economic sections. While there, he helped analyze the potential impacts of the new, at the time, Euro on American business interests in Europe. He also conducted his own studies on the social and economic impacts of the London pub scene.
Chandra Deolal
Head of Technology and Operations
Chandra is responsible for all aspects of technology at Emotomy. He and his group implement platform upgrades, monitor market trends and add new features when appropriate. Prior to joining Emotomy, Chandra was the tech lead for Asset Management Liquidity Solutions at Northern Trust Asset Management. With almost fifteen years of experience as an application development manager in financial services, Chandra has a wealth of knowledge about working with applications. His prior firms include Bank of America and Tata Consultancy. Chandra has a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Tele-Communication Engineering from University of Pune.

Chandra’s favorite activity is spending time with his family.
Outdoor activities with his children, long hikes and scenic drives are a few of their favorite activities.
Chandra is passionate about giving back to the community and is dedicated to helping people in need through charitable programs through work and outside.
A little known fact about Chandra is that he spent his childhood in one of the remotest parts of India because his grandfather settled his family there to help the tribal population with their medical needs. The town had no electricity and no roads and Chandra lived there until middle school, when he moved to a larger city to continue his education.
Cliff Goins IV
Head of Strategy and Operations
Cliff leads the teams responsible for investment solutions, customer success, metrics and insights, and operational model development as Head of Strategy and Operations at Emotomy. With almost twenty years in the financial services industry, Cliff brings considerable strategic planning experience to Emotomy. Previously at Northern Trust, he was Head of Strategy for asset management and Chief Administrative Officer for the funds and managed accounts group, where he led financial management, and business planning.
Prior to joining Northern Trust, Cliff held several finance and operational leadership roles at branding firm VSA Partners and spent time in mezzanine lending and private equity investing. Cliff holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Florida A&M University and an MBA in Finance and Strategy from Northwestern University.

Cliff plays tennis. And coaches tennis. And watches tennis. And thinks about tennis. It’s fair to say that Cliff likes tennis.
He also reads research and writes, but we like to talk about his tennis obsession.
Cliff’s passion is economic justice, with a focus on personal finance, entrepreneurship and education.
A fun fact about Cliff is that as a child is that he traveled around Chicago metro and the country with a speaking troupe that performed segments of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s speeches under the tutelage of Mamie Till Mobley, legend of the Civil Rights movement, and mother of Emmett Till.
Sirisha Gorjala
Head of Product Management
With over eighteen year of financial services industry experience, Sirisha leads product management for Emotomy. In this capacity, she is responsible for product strategy and planning operations. Prior to joining Emotomy, Sirisha was a Managing Director at Charles Schwab and held a variety of leadership positions in Product Management and Product Development during her long tenure at Morningstar. Sirisha holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the Vellore Institute of Technology and an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago.

Spending time with her family being active outdoors is Sirisha’s favorite activity. Biking, hiking and gardening are a few of the outdoor activities they enjoy doing together.
Sirisha is our resident amateur artist.
She is passionate about painting and has also tried her hand at interior design. Just for fun, she helps a friend with her event planning business on occasion and we’re sure it’s a great way to combine her organizational abilities with her product management skills.
Sirisha’s fun fact is that she used to organize and participate in fashion shows to raise funds for charities.
Mari Kawawa
Head of Business Administration
Mari founded Emotomy with Patrick in 2014, while CFO of Belvedere Advisors, an RIA managing quantitative proprietary strategies for institutions and high net worth individuals. Mari has spent the past 25 years in the financial services industry, and has structured and managed over $3 billion in financial assets during her career at major Wall Street firms. Prior to joining Emotomy, she was a Managing Director at Redwood Trust. Before that, she was at Invesco, where she was Co-Head and Managing Director for Structured Products and Funds. She has also held senior roles at Banc of America Securities, UBS Warburg and PaineWebber in asset management, fixed income, structured finance and derivatives.
Mari started her career at Nomura Securities in New York and Price Waterhouse in Tokyo. Mari holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Sophia University in Japan and an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

Mari channels her creativity weaving, sewing, painting, and cheese-making – Camembert is her specialty.
While in college, Mari was sometimes a live translator for CNN broadcast in Japan. She was working when the space shuttle Challenger blew up in 1986, and ended up doing a lot of translating on the topic. Mari is also the mother of five grown children and is known for remaining calm, cool and collected at all times – she has had practice.
